Privacy policy

This policy explains what Yuval Herman, trading as Better Musician ("we", "us") does with personal data on https://better-musician.com (the "website"). Each Better Musician app has its own privacy policy, linked from the app's page.

The short version

• The website has one form: the waitlist. It collects your email address and which app you asked about.
• We do not sell your data, show ads, or track you across other sites.
• You can ask us to delete your entry at any time: support@better-musician.com.

What we collect

Waitlist form. When you join a waitlist we store your email address, the app you asked about (or the general list), the language of the page, the page address you used, and the date and time. We store nothing else about you.

Contact form. If you write to us through the contact form, we store your email address, the topic, your message, the language and address of the page, and the date and time, so we can answer you. We keep messages for as long as needed to deal with them, and then delete them.

Technical data. Our hosting provider, Google (Firebase Hosting), receives your IP address and basic request details when your browser loads a page. It uses them to deliver the website and keep it secure. We do not use them to identify you.

Analytics. The website does not currently use analytics. If we add it, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.

Cookies and fonts. The website does not set cookies. Fonts are served from the website itself, so your browser does not contact Google Fonts.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

• To tell you when the app you asked about is available. Your consent, which you give by submitting the form. You can withdraw it at any time. Every message we send includes a way to unsubscribe.
• To keep the website secure and working. Our legitimate interest in running a safe service.

Who receives it

• Google (Firebase Hosting and Cloud Firestore) acts as our service provider. Waitlist entries are stored in the European Union (Google Cloud multi-region eur3, Belgium and the Netherlands). Google may process data in other countries under its standard contractual clauses.
• We do not share your data with anyone else, unless the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep a waitlist entry until we have told you about the app you signed up for, or for 24 months, whichever comes first. We delete it sooner if you ask.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, or give you a copy. You can also withdraw your consent at any time. Write to support@better-musician.com. If you are in Israel, you also have the rights set out in the Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981, including the right to see the information held about you and to ask for it to be corrected or deleted. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.

Children

The website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has joined a waitlist, contact us and we will delete the entry.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will change the date below and, where the law requires it, tell you.
